Shandra's art is inspired by her deep roots in the Montana landscape. She sees the natural world with wonder but avoids the often cliched style and paintings of the West. Raised in the central part of Montana, surrounded by rolling mountains, hills, and wheatfields, she now resides in Whitefish, Montana. Whitefish offers a community rooted in mountain culture with rich traditions in visual arts. She is raising her sweet boy in the mountain town along with her beloved border collies.
